Here’s our April 2020 family update – another whole month of coronavirus quarantining in the books!  Other than Michael going out to get groceries we didn’t get out of the house this month.  So enjoy a billiondy pictures from our house ;)

Poor P – just can’t hang some days.  He doesn’t take a nap anymore but sometimes he randomly falls asleep on the couch in the afternoons.
Parker got a terrarium and Hudson got a plantar for their birthdays and we put those together this month.  Parker’s terrarium had two different types of seeds (chia and something else).
Hudson sprouted some pinto beans.
Everly delivering clothes to the boys’ bedroom.
Big helper.
Decorating the road in front of our house and our driveaway
Our local elementary school did a drive by wave parade through all the neighborhoods where their students live.  It was very cool!
Hudson’s creation.  A church, maybe?  I can’t exactly remember.
I know it’s hard to see but he also built a bathroom with a toilet and a person sitting on it.
King Hudson riding on his horse.
They say they’re being like Uncle Brendan when they wear their hats like this
Look at Everly coloring!  Such a big girl.
We did a “social distancing Easter egg hunt” in our neighborhood – various neighbors colored eggs and hung them in the windows of their houses, then we could walk around and search for eggs.  It was so fun!
Since CC got cut short and we had to do our last 4 weeks at home I put Michael in charge of the weekly science experiments/projects.  That’s his wheelhouse, not so much mine!  One week they were supposed to build a tower from straws – they worked for hours on it and were so proud of their super tall towers!

(check out the “keep Everly out” barrier lol!)
Folding rags with my little companion
The Bikini Body Mommy 9.0 workout challenge ended in April!  I am SO thrilled that I was able to complete the 90 days since prior to starting in January I hadn’t worked out in over a year due to my back and core issues.  I gained so much strength during BBM 9.0 and I’m so thankful my mobility is coming back.
Everly trying to put her pants on
Everly loves to sit in the gator and be driven around by the boys
Growing right along!
Parker has been asking to learn how to write his letters so I gave him a workbook to be working on during our school time
CC community day via Zoom
“I lov you mommy”
We made chocolate banana ice cream (frozen bananas + cocoa powder whipped up in the food processor)
Parker was having a bit of a tantrum so we made silly face selfies to help him calm down
Some sweet moms put a Facebook group together and do preschool Bible lessons on Sundays and Wednesdays.  We’ve been tuning in while we have church from home.
Everly loves to help unload the dishwasher!
Peeling the label off oil bottles drives me crazy but when it keeps Everly occupied for a few minutes so I can do school with the boys then by all means…peel away!
Learning about centimeters and measurement
Masks, masks, masks!  I’ve been sewing lots of masks to donate!
Going for a walk around the neighborhood
Everly loves oatmeal for breakfast!  It’s messy but such is life as she learns how to use a spoon.
Silly Snapchat filters
Michael snapped this picture one evening when he came to bed after E and I had already gone to sleep.  Such a snuggler!
Easter egg hunt!  We’ve actually never done an egg hunt with the kids – we’ve always taken them to some put on by local churches or they’ve done egg hunts at grandparents’ houses so it was kind of fun to do our own at our house.

Everly didn’t hunt long – once she realized there were snacks in the eggs she quit hunting and stopped to eat the ones she’s already collected!
Hudson’s loot
Easter morning!
Mmmmm melts!  Everly’s favorite part of her Easter basket!
Wearing their babies
Some amazing nap hair!
Hudson’s list of things he’s been afraid of “dark, cats, dogs, bats, dinosaurs”
Opened the tupperwear drawer and found one of Everly’s babies that she’s stashed in there
CC community day via Zoom
Everly was trying to put her hand over her heart while we said the pledge
Ningxia thief
We had the weirdest frost thing – I thought it was so cool how it was still frosty in all the shadows but melted everywhere else
Back in the fall I was struggling with eating healthy so I used this 100 days of school scratch off poster I had and made some goals for myself – every day I stuck to THM I got to scratch off a square and then “earned” a reward once I hit certain milestones.  I finished all 100 days this month!
My first round of masks to be donated!
Everly trying to wake up Parker when he fell asleep on the couch during rest time
Pretty golden hair glowing in the morning sun
Hudson asked to wash dishes – by all means son!  Go right ahead!
Hudson’s pinto beans growing!
Our air conditioner went out.  That has happened at least once a year since we moved into this house and this year we finally decided it was time to just replace the unit.  They did all sorts of things including putting new vents in, so we had to move some furniture around and get prepared before they came.  Of course when you move furniture you find all sorts of dusty gross stuff that needs to be cleaned so we had a big cleaning weekend before the workers came!  The kids were great helpers!
Hudson’s job was to shred a big pile of papers we’d collected that needed to be shredded.
Officers Hudson and Parker reporting for Ningxia duty!
Little Miss Brave decided to learn how to climb the ladder on the treehouse.  Gone (for now) are my days of sittervising and reading a book while they play outside!  Up and down, up and down we go – over and over!
I know this picture doesn’t make sense but it’s a rare one of all of us together so I’m including it!  Our church had families send in pictures holding signs with one word on it, then they put them together in a montage to make up a Bible verse.
I did a homeschool room tour on YouTube

We had our last CC Community Day (via Zoom).  We’re not done with homeschooling for the year but we are done with CC.
More fabric washed and dried and ready to turn into masks
Why no, it’s not difficult to iron while you’re sitting right under my feet!
All the sawing and stuff under the house while the AC was getting replaced was super loud and Everly wasn’t able to nap well.  We tried doing naps upstairs but that didn’t work out great either.
Hudson was supposed to write the word “thing”.  I cracked up when I saw how he wrote it!  We don’t sound *that* country (I don’t think, at least).
Working on child sized masks.  Small ones are much harder to make than big ones!
Kinetic sand
This whole big house and they all congregate right under the ironing board while I work on masks
New mask pattern and I like this version much better!  (I followed this one)
Working on Kiwi Crate boxes
Totally snuck this picture of Everly praying and holding our hands during church
Online Bible class.  Our neighbors gave us this little rocking chair for Everly but all three kids have loved sitting in it!
Tons of masks cut out and ready to be assembled!
Snack time
Riding horses with their American flag shields
Everly has learned that she can go get a stool and use it to reach things that are too high for her
Parker’s Kiwi Crate box came with a recipe for banana muffins so one morning we used that to make muffins for breakfast.  Hudson read most of the directions and Parker did most of the mixing.
He was SO proud of himself!
Naptime snuggles
They love watching the birds out of the kitchen window!

And that’s a wrap for April!  Perhaps May will bring an end to quarantine!
