Late late late as usual but here’s a brief post of sharing what we were up to last month! I really don’t have a ton of pictures…part of the time I was out of town traveling and then once I got back we had a lot of days where we just sat and snuggled all day, so not much to share.
Hudson
We recently got a big box of dress up clothes and that’s one of Hudson’s favorite things to do right now! He loves being a cowboy, farmer, “teamer” (aka anyone who plays a sport), or making up totally random outfits like this one. We had Vacation Bible School this month at our church. Hudson absolutely had a blast!!
Parker
Parker has changed quite a bit this month! He is finally FINALLY starting to really talk. He’s repeating words we say, saying words on his own without prompting, and stringing multiple words together into phrases/stories. At almost 2.5 years old I am glad he’s finally showing some progress here! He loves dressing up too! Usually Hudson picks out his clothes for him…on this day Hudson had dressed him up like he was “going to school”.
One day this month Parker ran a fairly high fever. My kids thankfully are very rarely sick and I could count on one hand the number of times they’ve had fevers. I suspected it was teething related and sure enough – the fever last about 24 hours and the next day part of a molar had come through his gums.
One evening we were getting ready to head out after supper and I told him I needed to clean his mouth off – he yelled “HIDE!” and ran off behind the curtain. I couldn’t stop laughing at his attempt to hide from me.
Baby
Baby Girl is doing well! She has a first name but we’re not 100% sure on her middle name still, so that’s why we haven’t announced anything yet.
I’ve been pretty much terrible about taking pictures this time around but here’s one of my at 21 weeks after running the 5k at Convention in Salt Lake City. I’m very thankful to have felt well enough to train for a 5k, run a 5k, and run it much faster than I ever expected! My goal was to complete it without stopping to walk and finish in under 45 minutes. I ran the whole way and finished in 36 minutes…which is actually not much longer than it used to take me when I was running consistently back in my early 20s/pre kid days!
Convention
This month was Young Living’s annual convention where 30,000 oilers flock to Salt Lake City to learn about oils, the Young Living business, new products, etc. It’s such a blast!
This was only my 2nd time to leave the kids and the longest time I’d been away from them. It was hard and I missed them a ton but I also had a really good time with my oily friends!
I won’t bombard you with tooooo many pictures but here are a few.
The Salt Palace in SLC where some of our training took place. I loved the cool, oversize YL product decorations inside!
Convention swag!
One day we got to visit the Young Living customer service call center as well as the main warehouse. Both were wonderful experiences and I learned so much!
YL’s new headquarters that is being built – set to open in 2019.
One of my favorite parts of Convention…Ningxia slushies!
I was so honored to be invited to attend the awards gala with one of my upline leaders!
Mega proud of ourselves for completing the 5k!
Transplanting baby Melissa plants at the Mona farm
The Young Living farm in Mona, Utah is one of the prettiest places I’ve ever been!
Network Marketing guru Eric Worre speaking at one of our general sessions
Headed home and regretting all the amazing stuff I bought that week! Ha!
Home again, home again with my sweeties. The days following my return were filled with tons of snuggles and “holdies” (what Parker says when he wants to be held) + lots of liquids and smoothies because the walking, Utah weather, and flying made me swell up like a big balloon!
Other
These boys loveeeeee reading!
Sometimes they fight like crazy but other times they play so well together
I made a few crafty things this month – these t-shirts I made to wear to convention were some of them
Also cut the vinyl for these cute roller bottles
Goody bags for my team members that went to convention with me
That’s a wrap!
